About Giulia Negri
Giulia Negri works at Serradenari in the highest reaches of La Morra, on land associated with the Diatto-Negri family since 1880. Her father Giovanni reorganized the historic farmstead in 2001, replanted vineyards and protected its truffle woodland; Giulia now leads the estate.
Vineyards and woodland surround the cellar, with the vines climbing from roughly 450 metres to slopes above 530 metres. For her Barolos, hand-picked Nebbiolo ferments spontaneously in wooden vats, spending a long time in contact with the grape skins before ageing in Austrian oak.
