About Château des Jacques
Château des Jacques has vaulted cellars dating to 1679 at Romanèche-Thorins in Beaujolais. In 1924, Amédée Rousseau brought together parcels in Moulin-à-Vent, fermenting wine from each separately, ageing it in barrel and bottling at the estate. Maison Louis Jadot bought the château in 1996, and winemaker Julie Pitoiset has led its team since 2023.
The vineyards extend across Moulin-à-Vent, Morgon and Fleurie, and the estate also makes Beaujolais Blanc. For the reds, hand-picked grapes are sorted and destemmed before long fermentations and roughly ten months in oak.
