The palate is leaner and more savoury than opulent, with mellow sweetness, resolved tannins and a clean line of acidity leading to a cherry-stone finish. Graceful and ready to drink, it suits Stilton, aged cheddar or toasted almonds.

Smith Woodhouse has been a specialist producer of premium-quality Ports since 1784 when Christopher Smith, Lord Mayor of London, created a small company to ship Port from the Douro valley. Smith was joined a few years later by the Woodhouse brothers. Through the last 200 years, this small Port Company has been built a reputation for outstanding Vintage Ports.
