Red berries, blackberry and raspberry appear with pepper and flint. The medium-bodied palate is fresh and savoury, with a dense core, velvety tannins and a long finish. Pinot Noir comes from the Krafuss estate, between 430 and 450 metres. The vines grow in loamy, gravelly, calcareous glacial soils. Farming is organic and biodynamic, and the wine carries 12.5 percent alcohol.

Malted grain leads with honey, dried fruit and black grape skin, followed by a light thread of smoke. The palate is youthful and energetic, bringing sweet barley, rye spice and tart gooseberry together with buttery oak. Marsala-cask richness gives the fruit breadth, while the peated-cask finish adds restraint. The close is crisp and warming, leaving pepper, singed herbs, citrus and a faint mineral note.
