Isle of Skye

Sweet malt and ripe red berries open the nose before smoke, brine and cracked pepper gather momentum. The palate begins mellow and rich, then turns distinctly spicy, with tongue-coating sweetness set against nutty smoke and coastal salinity. Wood and peat give the whisky a darker, more brooding character without overwhelming its fruit. The finish is dry and persistent, carrying pepper, smooth smoke and light burnt embers. Serve neat or add a little water to draw out the maritime detail.

Sea spray, mineral smoke and cold stone give the nose a distinctly coastal edge, with malt and a touch of sweetness underneath. The palate is powerful and oily, moving through dense peat smoke, salted fish and dried seaweed before Talisker's characteristic peppery heat takes hold. Refill American oak keeps the fruit and sweetness in balance with the maritime intensity. The finish is long, smoky and warming, with brine, pepper and charred wood. Add water gradually to soften the strength and reveal more malt.
