Description
Chocolate, orange, and gin proves to be an unlikely but stellar combintation. It is based on the Brecon Special Reserve gin (which won a Master at the 2021 Spirits Business Global Gin Masters) and bottled at 37.5% abv.
Rich velvety chocolate swirls around this gin. Powdery cocoa and silky vanilla succumb to zesty, sweet orange bursts and an unmistakably full-bodied juniper, dry cassia bark balanced with smooth fresh cream lingers in the mouth. Best served with ice and chilled tonic water. Garnish with cinnamon and a twist of orange.
About Penderyn
Penderyn began distilling in 2000 and launched its first single malt on Saint David’s Day in 2004. That release revived Welsh whisky making, a tradition dormant since the nineteenth century. A Faraday copper still produces spirit at high strength, while bourbon-cask maturation followed by Madeira finishing helped establish the house style.
Women have long held prominent distilling and blending roles within Penderyn’s technical team. The company also bottles Brecon gin.
