Mint, cedar, tobacco and herbs lead a bright, savoury profile, with red berry, cassis and black fruit underneath. Medium-bodied and refined, the palate shows silky polish, lead-pencil detail and a salty mineral edge, finishing firm and slightly dry in a traditional style. Decant for one to two hours and serve slightly cool with roast chicken, lamb or lentils.

About Château Lafite Rothschild
Château Lafite Rothschild was documented as a wine-producing property by 1234 and was ranked a First Growth in the 1855 Bordeaux classification. Baron James de Rothschild acquired the Pauillac estate in 1868, beginning more than 150 years of stewardship by successive family generations. Saskia de Rothschild became chairwoman of Domaines Barons de Rothschild in 2018, representing the sixth generation. The vineyard’s gravel and clay regulate water around a subtle rise known historically as La Hite, while the grand vin is matured in French oak made by the group’s own Pauillac cooperage.
