Château Eugénie 2017 Tradition Cahors

$31.99

Red and black fruit, cassis, cherry and forest berries meet a light touch of spice. The palate is generous and balanced, with enough structure for the table but no unnecessary heaviness. Built around Malbec with Merlot, this approachable Cahors suits duck, grilled meats, charcuterie, terrines or mushroom dishes.

About Château Eugénie
The Couture family's roots in Cahors reach back to 1470. Jean and Claude Couture established the present estate in 1974 and named it for their great-great-grandmother Eugénie. Today Jérôme Couture continues the family's work at the Albas estate. The vineyards cross the Lot valley's gravelly terraces, clay and silica slopes, and limestone plateau, with iron running through parts of the landscape. The estate focuses on Malbec and also makes traditional Quercy aperitifs.
