Château Latour 2003 Pauillac

$2,299.99

Blackberry and currant aromas open into darker notes of truffle, leather and spice. This is a generous, full-bodied Latour, with dense fruit and a velvety feel. Its powerful structure is carried by polished, rounded tannins rather than a hard edge. The finish is exceptionally persistent, drawing together the rich fruit and savoury depth.

About Château Latour
The tower of Saint-Maubert, recorded on the Pauillac site in 1331, gave Château Latour its name. Its wine history developed under the Ségur family in the early eighteenth century, and it was named a First Growth in the 1855 Bordeaux classification. The Enclos vineyard lies beside the Gironde on deep gravel over clay, planted mainly to Cabernet Sauvignon. Horses returned to parts of the vineyard in 2008; the full vineyard moved to organic management in 2015, followed by organic certification for both vineyard and winery in 2018.
