About Château Grand-Puy-Lacoste
Château Grand-Puy-Lacoste has a family history reaching back to the sixteenth century. Rebuilt in 1855, the château entered the official classification of Médoc growths that same year. The Borie family acquired the estate in 1978, and François-Xavier Borie began renewing its vineyards and cellars.
Cabernet Sauvignon dominates fifty-five hectares of vines gathered in one block around the château on Pauillac's deep gravel. The densely planted vines are cultivated mechanically, and the grapes are harvested by hand and sorted twice.
