Parallel 49 Brewing Company Vow of Silence Belgian Dark Strong Ale
$3.49
Deep and full-bodied, this Belgian-style dark strong ale brings smooth malt richness, chestnut colour and a gently peaty aromatic note. Sweet malt builds across the palate before a lightly tart contrast brings lift to the finish, keeping the intensity from feeling flat. Serve cool rather than cold with braised beef, roast duck, aged Gouda, mushroom dishes, fruitcake or dark chocolate.

About Parallel 49 Brewing Company
Parallel 49 Brewing Company began in East Vancouver in 2012, when longtime friends Anthony Frustagli, Nick Paladino and Mike Sleeman left other careers to open a brewery. Homebrewer Graham With supplied technical leadership, while Michael Tod and Scott Venema completed the six-person founding team.
The brewery draws on Pacific Northwest beer styles and uses local and regional ingredients. Spent grain goes to Fraser Valley livestock, and the brewery switched to recycled six-pack cartons in 2019.
