Dark cherry and blueberry lead, with leather, rosemary, cocoa and coffee adding mature savoury detail. The palate is balanced and composed, its acidity still lively and its tannins subtle but persistent. Restrained French oak gives shape without overwhelming the fruit. A short decant should be enough; serve with grilled steak, roast lamb, braised mushrooms or aged cheddar.
