Wayne Gretzky Ninety-Nine Proof Canadian Whisky

Toffee, maple and sweet smoke lead into orange peel, ginger, almond, cinnamon and dark fruit. The palate is rich and rye-forward, with baked cherry, raisin, licorice root and warming spice carried by a smooth, full texture. Individually distilled Ontario grains are matured and blended before a 99-day finish in Cabernet Sauvignon casks from the estate, adding polished oak and wine-toned depth. The finish is long, dry and persistent, with clove, nut and grain lingering.

Wayne Gretzky Estates makes wine and spirits at its combined winery and distillery in Niagara-on-the-Lake. Winemakers Jason Roller and Sydney Valentino work alongside master blender and distiller Tim Wilson. The two crafts meet in whiskies such as Ninety-Nine Proof, finished in Cabernet Sauvignon casks from the estate’s winery.
