About Asahi Breweries
Asahi's brewing story began in Osaka in 1889, with Asahi Beer reaching the market in 1892. In 1987, Asahi launched Super Dry, introducing the karakuchi, or dry, style with its quick, clean finish. Rival dry beers followed in 1988.
Super Dry is brewed with Asahi's high-fermenting No. 318 yeast. The brewery has continued to refine fermentation and brewing controls to preserve crispness and improve foam retention.
