About Merry Edwards
Merry Edwards built a pioneering California winemaking career before establishing the Sonoma County estate and label that bears her name. Her work with Pinot Noir included the selection later registered as UCD clone 37, a specific viticultural milestone documented by the winery. The estate developed around Russian River Valley and Sonoma Coast vineyards, with Pinot Noir and Sauvignon Blanc forming important parts of the range.
Merry later stepped back from day-to-day work, and the winery continues with an established vineyard and cellar team under subsequent ownership. The founder's career and the winery's present ownership belong to different chapters of its history. Merry Edwards remains associated with Russian River Valley and Sonoma Coast vineyards, Pinot Noir and the founder's documented viticultural work.
