Segla 2009 Margaux

$121.99

Ripe plum and blackcurrant lead, with violet, cedar and a trace of forest floor bringing classic Margaux perfume. The palate is generous and smooth, its dark fruit framed by fine tannins and restrained oak. Tobacco and gentle spice emerge with air, followed by a balanced, lingering finish that favours elegance over weight.

About Château Rauzan-Ségla
Château Rauzan-Ségla is a Margaux estate whose origins lie in the seventeenth-century Rauzan property on Bordeaux’s left bank. The château was ranked as a Second Growth in the 1855 classification, linking its current name to a documented historic estate. Its vineyard is planted chiefly to Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot, with smaller proportions of other permitted Bordeaux red varieties. The present company maintains the grand vin and a second wine, Ségla, while treating them as distinct expressions within one estate. France's cultural-heritage register records the château as a protected Margaux winemaking property. Rauzan-Ségla's character is anchored by Margaux, its Second Growth classification and the protected early-twentieth-century château.
