Bright and lightly off-dry, with ripe peach, citrus and honeyed orchard fruit lifted by a subtle mineral note. Riesling-led freshness gives the palate energy, while a small measure of sweetness rounds the texture without weighing it down. The finish remains crisp and lively. About Maison Noir Wines
Sommelier André Hueston Mack founded Maison Noir Wines in 2007, initially making small Oregon lots for restaurants he knew from the dining room. He had left a career in finance, worked in Texas and later served as a sommelier at The French Laundry and Per Se.
Maison Noir makes wines from grapes sourced across the Willamette Valley. Its labels and clothing draw on punk, hip-hop and 1990s skateboard culture.
