Blackcurrant and blueberry fruit sit with liquorice, dried herbs and a stony mineral character. The profile also includes dense tannins, red and black fruit and a long finish. This red comes from the Languedoc appellation and carries 12.5 percent alcohol. The blend combines Syrah, Carignan and Grenache. The estate identifies L’Équilibre among its named cuvées.

About Villa Symposia
After working in Bordeaux, Éric Prissette founded Villa Symposia in 2003 at Aspiran, north of Pézenas in the Languedoc. He brought together parcels of Syrah, Carignan and Grenache and built a new cellar. The estate covers 18 hectares around Aspiran. Its name combines the Roman villa with the symposium, a gathering for sharing wine and food.
