About Château de La Cour d'Argent
Château de La Cour d'Argent belongs to Vignobles Denis Barraud, established by the family in the closing years of the nineteenth century, enlarged by Pierre-Henri Descrambe and directed by Denis Barraud from 1971. Its Bordeaux Supérieur vineyards lie near Saint-Sulpice-de-Faleyrens and Sainte-Terre, as well as Génissac. The nineteen-hectare vineyard combines clay-limestone and sandy-gravel soils, with vines averaging thirty-five years.
Grass cover and organic soil amendments are used in the vineyards, and the fruit is sorted before fermentation. Fermentation takes place in temperature-controlled stainless steel, followed by ageing in used barrels.
