Bright crimson colour accompanies rich berry fruit, vanilla, spice, ripe black cherry and dried herbs. Integrated oak and fine-grained tannins are also present, with elegance and substantial length. The Shiraz comes from a half-hectare of ungrafted, pre-phylloxera vines. Grapes are hand picked and fermented in old open-oak vats. Maturation lasts eighteen months in French oak, with further bottle ageing.
