Charles Heidsieck NV Blanc de Blancs Champagne
$134.99
White peach and candied citrus open with lime, honeysuckle and fresh hazelnut. The palate is finely textured and bright, carrying mature orchard fruit through a creamy middle and persistent, precise bubbles. Reserve wines and extended lees ageing add depth without dulling the freshness. The finish is elegant and long, leaving lemon, tangerine, soft florals, chalk and a gentle nutty note.

About Charles Heidsieck
Charles-Camille Heidsieck founded his Champagne house in Reims in 1851, aged twenty-nine. He travelled to the United States the following year, beginning a series of visits to introduce his wines to American customers.
In 1867 he acquired third-century chalk cellars beneath Reims, with more than eight kilometres of galleries about thirty metres underground. Bottles rest in these cool cellars for at least four years, with some remaining much longer. An extensive collection of reserve wines supports blends of Chardonnay, Pinot Noir and Meunier.
