Spiced plum, blackberry, mocha and cassis create a dark, concentrated aromatic profile, with floral lift and wet-stone minerality adding contrast. The palate is opulent yet balanced, placing dense black fruit inside a finely structured frame. Gravelly detail and integrated tannins carry the Cabernet through a powerful, remarkably composed finish.

About Scarecrow
Scarecrow begins with the Cohn family estate on Rutherford's western bench, where John Daniel Junior of Inglenook persuaded his neighbour to plant eighty acres of Cabernet Sauvignon in 1945. Cohn planted on Saint George rootstock; roughly two acres of the original vines, known as the Old Men, survive. The Scarecrow name nods to The Wizard of Oz and Cohn's career as an MGM production executive.
Today the estate comprises 23.86 planted acres, almost entirely Cabernet Sauvignon, rising from clay and loam toward leaner gravelly soils at the base of the Mayacamas range.
