Fresh and powerful on the nose, with ripe orchard fruit, citrus and a restrained floral lift. The palate is lively and vinous, its Pinot Noir depth balanced by Chardonnay brightness and fine, persistent bubbles. Very low dosage leaves the finish clean, brisk and emphatically dry, while the fruit remains generous. A polished half-bottle for an aperitif, sushi, oysters or other simply prepared raw fish.

About Champagne Jean Vesselle
Champagne Jean Vesselle's roots in Bouzy stretch back more than three centuries; Jean Vesselle's daughter and her husband, David, now carry the family tradition forward. The vineyards were long centred on Bouzy Grand Cru and Pinot Noir, alongside holdings at Loches-sur-Ource; since 2014, Chardonnay from Chouilly Grand Cru has broadened the palette. The family makes wine from its entire harvest at its Bouzy cellar.
The family cultivates the soil and uses cover crops, without herbicides since 2000. HVE and Viticulture Durable en Champagne certification followed in 2019. Depending on the cuvée, the wines are made in temperature-controlled tanks, barrels or large oak casks, then mature in bottle for two to ten years.
