Forest floor, cigar box and old oak lead the mature aroma, with restrained cinnamon, coconut and vanilla sitting behind the savoury notes. The palate remains fresh and balanced, combining dried red fruit with firm structure and an earthy, polished texture. Its mature character feels composed rather than tired. The finish is long and savoury, carrying tobacco, wood spice and quiet fruit persistence.

About Lopez de Heredia
Rafael López de Heredia y Landeta began designing and building his winery in Haro around 1877, after studying methods brought to Rioja by French merchants. Four generations of the family have continued the winemaking, and the cellars remain in Haro’s historic railway district.
The winery works only with grapes and wines from its own Rioja vineyards, including Tondonia, Bosconia and Cubillo. Both red and white wines receive extended ageing in oak barrels in deep underground galleries, followed by further time in bottle before release.
