Lieu Dit 2021 Melon de Bourgogne

$48.99

Salted citrus and orchard fruit lead into a crisp, mineral palate, with sea spray and a briny finish. Fruit comes from old, own-rooted vines in Bien Nacido Vineyard, planted in sandy loam. Whole clusters were pressed, then fermented with native yeast between stainless steel and neutral French oak. The wine suits oysters, shellfish and other simply prepared seafood.

About Lieu Dit
Lieu Dit takes its name from the French term for a named place. Eric Railsback and Justin Willett founded the project in 2011 after years of friendship, shared bottles and trips to France, choosing Santa Barbara County as a home for Loire varieties. Willett now leads the winemaking, with a focus on Cabernet Franc, Sauvignon Blanc and Chenin Blanc from sites in and around Santa Barbara. The winery’s aim is balance, fresh fruit and lower alcohol.
