A deep ruby colour accompanies ripe raspberry, plum, briny black olive and sun-dried tomato. Cherry, strawberry, dried cranberry, sour-cherry jam, vanilla, cinnamon, pepper, tea and forest-floor notes add further detail. The wine is full-bodied, with acidity, robust ripe tannins and a very long finish. It spends twelve months in French oak, half of which is new, and carries 14.5 percent alcohol.
