About Larkmead Vineyards
Larkmead Vineyards was established in 1895 on land in Calistoga that had already been planted to vines for decades. Larry and Polly Solari purchased the property in 1948, and the Solari-Baker family continues its stewardship today. The 115-acre estate occupies a broad stretch of the northern Napa Valley floor.
Ancient river deposits have left gravel, clay and loam in close proximity. In the cellar, small lots are kept separate according to soil and vine material.
