Kavalan Solist Oloroso Sherry Cask Strength Single Malt Whisky

Dried fruit, nuts, vanilla, marzipan and spice form a dense, aromatic opening. The palate is full-bodied and rich, with fruit and spice carrying through cleanly before coffee appears on a long finish. Maturation in Oloroso sherry casks brings depth without colouring or chill filtration. Bottled at cask strength, it benefits from a little water. Serve neat.

About Kavalan
King Car Group built the Kavalan distillery in Yilan, northeastern Taiwan, in 2005. Founder Tian-Tsai Lee worked with whisky consultant Dr Jim Swan, and the first spirit flowed from the stills on 11 March 2006. The distillery takes its name from the Indigenous Kavalan people and the earlier name for Yilan.
Snow Mountain spring water is used in production, with double distillation in Scottish-made copper pot stills. Casks mature in Taiwan's hot, humid climate.
