Colome 2016 Malbec Altura Maxima
$209.99
Blackberry and ripe plum lead, with violet, graphite and high-altitude mineral notes adding lift. The palate is concentrated but energetic, its dark fruit framed by firm, fine-grained tannins and bright acidity. Cocoa and savoury spice develop through the middle, followed by a long, focused finish.

About Bodega Colomé
Bodega Colomé traces its recorded history to 1831 in Argentina’s Calchaquí Valleys, within the high-elevation wine country of Salta. The estate’s vineyards range from roughly 2,300 to more than 3,100 metres above sea level, giving altitude a defining role in its identity. Donald and Ursula Hess acquired Colomé in 2001 and expanded an estate already associated with old vines and remote mountain sites.
Thibaut Delmotte has served as winemaker since 2005, providing continuity through the modern development of the property. Malbec is central to the range, while other varieties are used to explore the differences among the estate’s separate high-altitude vineyards. Colomé remains closely identified with Salta's high-elevation vineyards and the estate's separate mountain sites.
