Stone fruit gives the nose a bright opening, joined by a sherbet-like lift and fresh ginger. The palate turns richer with milk chocolate, baked apple and warm fruitcake spice, while the rye keeps the sweetness in check. Smooth texture carries into a long finish of vanilla, soft oak, pepper and returning ginger. Made from British Columbia-grown rye and barley, this is a rounded, approachable Canadian style with enough grain character to remain distinctive. Serve neat or in an Old Fashioned.
