Ripe apple and citrus are framed by gentle toast, a creamy lees texture and a quiet savoury note. Barrel fermentation and full malolactic conversion bring breadth, but cool-climate acidity keeps the palate focused and fresh. The finish is smooth, lightly wooded and balanced. Pair with roast chicken, salmon or creamy mushroom dishes.

About Blue Grouse Estate Winery
Blue Grouse began on a Cowichan Valley property where more than 100 grape varieties were trialled between 1986 and 1988. Hans and Evangeline Kiltz acquired the test vineyard in 1988–89, harvested the first grapes in 1989 and secured the winery licence in 1992. A new winery and tasting room opened in 2015 after the Brunner family's 2012 purchase.
Members of the Jackson family acquired the winery and vineyards in 2022, intending to build on its Pinot Noir and Chardonnay production in Cowichan's cool maritime climate.
