Creamy lees accompany roasted pineapple, spice, mineral character and citrus fruit. The palate is tactile and medium to full in body, with fresh, balanced acidity. About Château Rives-Blanques
At Château Rives-Blanques, Chenin and Chardonnay were planted high above Cépie in the 1970s, before Limoux Blanc received its appellation. The Panman family took over in 2001 and sold the estate to Pierre Bories and the Artisans Partisans group in 2022. Its eighteen contiguous hectares sit around 350 metres on clay-limestone ground, where Atlantic coolness and Mediterranean light meet at the western edge of Languedoc.
The organically farmed vines are surrounded by woodland, hedgerows and protected habitat. In 2020, the estate planted a conservation vineyard with ten historic clones of Mauzac, a local Limoux grape.
