Raisin, fig and dried plum lead a deep, concentrated bouquet, joined by honey, cocoa and toffee. Coffee and polished oak add savoury complexity beneath the fruit. The palate is dense and unctuous, yet a clear line of acidity keeps the sweetness composed. Warm and persistent, it closes with dried fruit, cocoa, nuts and a long, elegant finish.

About Bodegas Pérez Barquero
Bodegas Pérez Barquero was founded in 1905 in Montilla and remains identified with the Montilla-Moriles appellation of southern Spain. The house works chiefly with Pedro Ximénez grown on the area’s pale albariza soils, using the grape for dry, sweet and fortified styles. Traditional criaderas and solera systems are part of its cellar practice, allowing younger and older wines to be blended through successive stages.
The producer maintains separate ranges under the Pérez Barquero name while also preserving historic wines and brand identities within its group. The separate Pérez Barquero ranges and historic group wines remain connected by Montilla's grape, soils and ageing culture. The 1905 founding and continuing use of Pedro Ximénez place Pérez Barquero firmly within Montilla-Moriles' cellar tradition.
