Mature and remarkably balanced, with red fruit retaining freshness despite the vintage’s leaner reputation. The palate avoids undue heaviness or tired fruit, showing a composed structure and firm, lightly green-edged tannins on the finish. It is drinking well now and may continue to hold. Stand upright, open carefully and serve with roast game or earthy mushroom dishes.

About Armand Rousseau
Domaine Armand Rousseau took shape in Gevrey-Chambertin in the early twentieth century, when Armand Rousseau built on inherited parcels and expanded the holding through his 1909 marriage. He moved from bulk sales to estate bottling; the domaine's history now spans four generations of family work.
Its vineyards span village, premier cru and grand cru sites in Gevrey-Chambertin and Morey-Saint-Denis, with Pinot Noir as the sole focus. Vineyard work uses mechanical soil cultivation and avoids insecticides. Cellar work involves minimal handling, using winemaking methods that have changed little across generations.
