Natte Valleij 2023 Axle Chenin Blanc

Yellow peach, dried apricot and grapefruit marmalade lead, with potpourri, incense and stem ginger adding aromatic lift. The palate is broad and creamy yet remains cool and focused, layering tangy stone fruit and dried guava over a fine lees texture. A long, dry, granitic finish gives the richness shape and makes it a compelling partner for roast poultry or aged cheese.

About Natte Valleij
The lower-Simonsberg farm known as Natte Valleij has a recorded history reaching back to 1715. Natte Valleij passed to the Milner family in 1969; a generation later, Alexander Milner revived its cellar and made his first wine there in 2005.
Milner remains the winemaker, working with old vineyards beyond the farm across the Cape. Cinsault from mature, dry-farmed bush vines is a particular focus, with parcels drawn from different Cape regions. The cellar follows a low-intervention approach.
