Chateau Haut-Brion 2008 Pessac-Leognan

$1,499.99

Silky and layered, with black raspberry, ripe cassis and dark plum set against tar, spice and warm gravel. The palate is polished and concentrated, yet the tannins remain fine and elegant, giving the fruit a seamless, measured flow. Tobacco and subtle smoke emerge through the middle, adding savoury complexity without obscuring the freshness. The finish is long, balanced and persistent, carrying pure dark fruit, mineral depth and refined structure.

About Haut-Brion
Wine from Haut-Brion appears in written records as early as 1521. Jean de Pontac began building the present château in 1549. In the 1855 Classification, Haut-Brion was named a First Growth—the only classified red-wine estate outside the Médoc. Regular bottling at the estate began in 1923, and Clarence Dillon acquired the property in 1935. Its red and white vines grow on a naturally draining gravel terrace in Pessac, within Pessac-Léognan.
