Mac Forbes 2023 Yarra Valley Pinot Noir
$54.99
Red cherry and raspberry lead a vibrant, finely drawn profile, with a restrained note of spice and subtle oak in support. The palate is elegant and balanced, built on fine tannins rather than weight, and the finish lingers without excess. Polished but approachable, it suits salmon, duck, mushrooms or herb-roasted chicken.

About Mac Forbes
Mac Forbes returned from overseas in 2004 with plans for a Yarra Valley winery, completing his first harvest the following year. Pinot Noir and Chardonnay from individual vineyards were the starting point, with attention to the valley’s different soils, exposures and subregions. Forbes began farming five sites in 2011; since 2019, all of his single-vineyard wines have come from land managed by his team.
Most sites have been dry-farmed since 2015, and the move towards organic practices began in 2017. Today, the farming team emphasizes regenerative practices, biodiversity and soil vitality. New oak has not been used for the single-vineyard wines since 2014.
