Garnacha and Cariñena come from roughly five hectares of mountain vineyards on granite and sandy soils. The vines are farmed biodynamically, and the soil is worked by horse. Grapes are harvested by hand, macerated as whole bunches and fermented spontaneously with native yeast in open amphora. Maturation lasts twelve months in amphora. Fruit, balsamic and herbal notes accompany integrated tannins.

About Comando G
Childhood friends Daniel Landi and Fernando Garcia founded Comando G in 2008, seeking out neglected old Garnacha vineyards in the Sierra de Gredos. Their wines now focus on Rozas, Navatalgordo, Villanueva and El Tiemblo, with bottlings from individual villages and sites.
The high vineyards are worked by hand according to biodynamic principles, on sandy soils formed from granite, slate and quartz. Hand-picked grapes ferment with native yeasts in open oak vessels; ageing uses a mix of concrete, large wooden vats, barrels and amphora according to the wine.
