Blackberry and red bramble fruit are edged by black and white pepper, rosemary, black olive and a savoury iron note. Structured but not heavy, the palate stays cool and focused, with firm tannins and a dark herbal finish. Give it a brief decant and serve with lamb, beef or grilled mushrooms.

About Le Vieux Pin
Le Vieux Pin’s first vintage was 2005, from its Oliver estate on the Black Sage Bench. Named for the solitary old pine on the property, the winery draws on French wine traditions and South Okanagan fruit.
Séverine Pinte joined in 2010 and now serves as winemaker, viticulturist and managing partner. Her work combines low-input vineyard farming with a non-interventionist approach in the cellar. Syrah and white Rhône varieties are central to the wines.
