Honey and brown sugar lead a warm, fragrant nose, with soft oak and anise-like spice adding definition. The palate is rounded and gently creamy, bringing butter caramel, liquorice and baked bread together with cinnamon and clove. Made from indica rice with Okinawan black koji, then matured for more than a decade in virgin white oak, it finishes smooth, lightly tannic and persistently spiced. Serve neat or with a few drops of water.
