Raisin, honey and orange peel lead a rich but composed aroma, joined by toffee and sweet oak. The palate layers stewed apple, dried fruit and cinnamon over a smooth malt base, with roasted almond bringing savoury balance. Sherry-cask depth is present without obscuring the spirit’s gentle character. The finish is long, rounded and lightly spiced. Serve neat or with a splash of water alongside fruitcake or aged cheese.
