Châteauneuf-du-Pape Vieilles Vignes 2016

$283.99
98pts Vinous: Is this the wine of the vintage? It’s definitely on the (very) short list. Powerful raspberry liqueur, cherry pie, incense, potpourri and spice cake aromas…Sweet and seamless in the mouth, offering deeply concentrated but shockingly lithe raspberry, cherry liqueur, five-spice powder and lavender...Blends richness and delicacy with a deft hand and finishes wonderfully long and precise... – Josh Raynolds (Vinous)

Marcoux Chateauneuf-du-Pape 2012/15/16

$111.99
93pts Vinous: Highly perfumed red fruit liqueur, potpourri and Moroccan spice scents show impressive vivacity and focus. Sappy, alluringly sweet and precise, offering palate-staining raspberry and floral pastille flavors and a hint of spice cake. Closes very long and smooth, displaying excellent focus, even tannins and emphatic, floral-tinged persistence. – Josh Raynolds (Vinous)

Marcoux Cotes du Rhone 2021

$44.99
This is essentially a baby Chateauneuf, sourced from two sites adjacent to the Chateauneuf-du-Pape border. The wine is primarily Grenache with small percentages of Mourvedre, Cinsault and Syrah added. The nose and palate give peppery, deep red fruits perfumed with fresh floral aromas. In the mouth, the wine is concentrated with a grainy grip and balanced with vibrancy and lift. An impressive effort here.
