Vecchia Cantina Chianti Riserva 2016
This terrific Tuscan value comes from carefully selected grapes 400 metres above sea level on top of a limestone ridge adjacent to the ancient village of Montepulciano. The grapes are hand harvested and after a traditional vinification it spends 2 years in oak. Aromatic, expressive and round, this vintage offers loads of Sangiovese character in a succulent, mid-weight style that will find plenty of admirers. The balance of the texture and freshness makes for a compelling Chianti to drink now and over the next few years. All and all, a terrific Tuscan value!

Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot. This charming 2019 Bordeaux is notable for a garnet-red robe of great intensity. Black cherry, leather, licorice and spice are front and centre. On the nose, it is characterized by aromas of strawberries blended with brioche. The mouth-feel entices with ample richness and fullness leading to a memorable finish. Harmonious and long on the palate, the ideal accompaniment to a leg of lamb with herbs or goat’s cheeses. Excellent to serve between 16 & 17°C.

Fleshy and rounded with gentle tannins, it's best enjoyed at 11-12º with charcuterie, poultry and cheeses. This Beaujolais can be enjoyed young or kept 1 or 2 years maximum
