Jason Alton opened Ricco Bambino in downtown Kelowna in 2018, combining an urban winery with a wine bar. Working fermentation tanks shared the space with guests amid a bright, garden-like interior. Matt Dumayne was the winemaker at launch, working with British Columbia fruit. The public winery and bar closed permanently in September 2022 after four years.

Canadian White
Golden-hued and full-bodied, with honeysuckle, orange blossom and jasmine opening into ripe apricot and white peach. Citrus zest keeps the creamy texture fresh, giving the palate balance without losing its generous feel. The finish is floral, rounded and quietly persistent. Serve well chilled with roast chicken, seared scallops, lightly spiced curries or creamy vegetable dishes.

A playful sparkling rosé with fresh strawberry, raspberry and delicate floral notes. The palate balances fruity sweetness with crisp acidity, creating a refreshing, lively character and an easy finish. Keep the bottle well chilled and open it carefully, preferably over a sink, as this natural sparkling wine can be especially energetic when released.

An energetic skin-contact Sauvignon Blanc with grapefruit, ripe lemon and passionfruit, lifted by subtle hay-field notes. The palate is crisp and refreshing, with bright acidity giving the tropical and citrus fruit a clean, balanced shape. Lightly textured but never heavy through the finish, it works well with goat cheese, grilled vegetables, shellfish or gently spiced dishes.
Ricco Bambino 2017 Bianco
Canadian White
An oxidative white with baked orchard fruit, toasted nuts and a distinctly savoury character. The palate is energetic and layered, moving from cooked apple and citrus peel into almond, spice and a gently saline finish. Its dry, food-friendly style works well with firm cheese, flaky pastry, roasted nuts or desserts that lean more nutty than sweet.
