Tenuta Argentiera 2020 Villa Donoratico 12L
Italian Red
Blackberry, blueberry and black plum are framed by tobacco, smoked cedar, dark chocolate and warm spice. The palate is generous but well shaped, with polished tannins and enough freshness to carry the ripe fruit. Twelve months in large French and Austrian oak brings structure rather than overt sweetness, followed by six months in bottle. Serve with grilled ribeye, braised beef, roast lamb or aged Pecorino.
Tenuta Il Poggione 2015 Brunello di Montalcino 12L
Italian Red
Dark cherry, black plum and crushed herbs lead into leather, tobacco and warm spice. The palate is full and firmly structured, with abundant fruit, fine-grained tannins and a fresh savoury line that keeps the richness balanced. Hand-picked Sangiovese from the estate’s oldest vineyards is fermented at controlled temperature, then matured in traditional large French-oak barrels and bottle. Built for a generous table, it suits roast game, braised beef or aged Pecorino.
Remoissenet Pere & Fils 1989 Chambolle-Musigny 12 L
French Red
Cherry, iron and dried herbs lead into savoury beef-broth notes. The palate remains richly textured and impressively long, with bright acidity carrying the mature fruit and keeping the finish energetic. The profile is evolved but still clear and composed. Bottle variation is expected at this age; stand upright before opening and decant gently around any sediment.
