AboutYoshinogawa
Yoshinogawa has brewed in Settaya, Nagaoka, since 1548 and is the oldest surviving sake brewery in Niigata Prefecture. It uses Niigata-grown rice and soft well water fed by snowmelt and the Shinano River system. Low-temperature Ginjo brewing is central to its work, using skills passed down through generations.
Yoshinogawa Gokujo Ginjo
Japanese Sake
White flowers, peach and nectarine lead a delicate aroma, with fresh herbs and a faint anise note adding quiet complexity. The palate is light, silky and precise, carrying subtle stone fruit over soft acidity and a clean mineral line. Its dry profile remains graceful rather than austere, and a gentle savoury note gives the middle palate extra dimension. The finish is crisp, smooth and lingering. Serve well chilled with scallops, sashimi, light soups or prosciutto.
Yoshi No Gawa Kome Dry Sake 180 mL Can
Japanese Sake
A clean, restrained aroma opens with steamed rice, light orchard fruit and a faint floral note. The palate is smooth and well balanced, showing mild sweetness before a distinctly dry line takes over. Gentle umami brings quiet depth without weighing down the crisp texture. The finish is tidy, refreshing and lightly savoury. Serve chilled or gently warmed with sushi, grilled fish, tempura, rice dishes or simple izakaya fare.
