Voyager Estate
Voyager Estate grew from a vineyard established in 1978 in Stevens Valley at the southern end of Margaret River. Michael Wright acquired and developed the property from 1991, shaping the modern estate and opening its cellar door in 1998. His daughter Alexandra Burt assumed management in 2005 and became sole proprietor in 2018, representing second-generation family stewardship.
Chardonnay and Cabernet Sauvignon are central to the single-site vineyard programme, with other varieties maintained in separate blocks. The estate’s farming and winemaking aim to express its Stevens Valley site, but technical details remain bounded to individual wines. Voyager Estate remains based at Stevens Valley in Margaret River, with Cabernet Sauvignon and Chardonnay at its core.

Blackcurrant, plum and black olive lead a dark, savoury bouquet, with pepper and a faint capsicum note adding lift. The palate is rich yet balanced, carrying ripe dark fruit over fine tannins and fresh acidity. Structured and persistent, it closes with plum, olive, pepper and a long savoury finish that retains impressive energy and definition.
Voyager Estate 2012 Girt by Sea Cabernet Merlot
Australian Red
Blackcurrant, dark cherry and mulberry open with cedar, tobacco and measured spice. The palate is savoury and medium-bodied, with the dark fruit carried by beautifully integrated, fine-grained tannins. Cedar and tobacco add mature complexity without drying the fruit, while the texture remains composed and approachable. The finish is medium to long, leaving blackcurrant, mulberry, spice and a persistent cedary note.
