AboutVina Cobos
Paul Hobbs first visited Argentina in 1988 and founded Viña Cobos in Mendoza ten years later, with Malbec at the centre of the project. The inaugural harvest in 1999 produced Cobos Malbec.
The winery works across Luján de Cuyo and the Valle de Uco, making both varietal wines and bottlings from individual vineyard parcels. Its vineyard holdings grew with the addition of Chañares Estate in 2013 and Zingaretti Estate in 2017.
Viña Cobos 2022 Bramare Chardonnay
A broad, textured Chardonnay with ripe peach, pear and citrus peel, followed by hazelnut, cream and a quiet flinty note. The palate is generous but controlled, with fresh acidity giving definition to the fruit and subtle oak character. It finishes long and balanced, making a polished match for roast chicken, lobster, squash or richer seafood dishes.
