AboutChâteau Villemaurine
Château Villemaurine occupies a compact, contiguous vineyard beside the medieval town of Saint-Émilion, high on the appellation’s limestone plateau. Marie-Bénédicte and Christophe Lefévère acquired the estate in 2021.
Its seven hectares run from coarser soils in the west to more clay-rich ground in the east. The Merlot and Cabernet Franc vineyards are worked without herbicides, using ploughing and winter cover crops. In the cellar, small stainless-steel vats and gentle extraction are followed by barrel ageing in the limestone quarries beneath the château.
