AboutVilla Wolf

Villa Wolf was founded as Weingut J.L. Wolf in 1756 in Wachenheim, in Germany’s Pfalz region. The estate’s Italianate villa was completed in 1843. Ernst Loosen bought the property in 1996 and set about restoring its vineyards and cellar.

Patrick Möllendorf has led the winery since 2011, and the estate vineyards have been worked by hand since 2014.

Rose petals, lychee and ripe peach rise with exotic fruit and a gentle thread of spice. The palate is juicy and aromatic but light on its feet, avoiding heaviness while preserving the variety’s generous character. A clean, softly spiced finish makes it especially good with aromatic curries, glazed pork or mildly spicy noodles.
